Improper and Mixed Fractions

Let's learn about improper and mixed fractions in today's post.

Improper fractions are those fractions where the numerator is greater than the denominator. On the other hand mixed fractions are those where a whole number and a mixed fraction is mixed. Improper fractions can be converted to mixed fraction by dividing the numerator by the denominator. The quotient becomes the numerator, the divisor becomes the denominator and the remainder is written in the left side of the fraction. This is mixing of a whole number and a fraction.
